I adore photography. I love it more than music, more than painting, more than sleeping, and more than writing.
I remember when I was really young I would go for long walks with my mom and she would have her camera. Usually, I would ask to borrow her camera and end up draining the battery and filling up every last bit of storage. But my pictures got better and better, or so everyone I saw told me.
I never actually thought of photography as a career though, I basically thought of everything but photography. Why? Well probably because I didn’t know anyone who was a photographer and did that for their job. But when I realized that people actually do that and that it’s a real course and job I got really interested.
I decided that I would spend more time on it. I took pictures of everything. When we went on trips and when I was with my friends everything immediately turned into a photography practice. All my friends are used to becoming models now.
I started taking a high school course for photography and whenever I shared my photography people would always tell me that I was getting even better. That always feels good. I grabbed my old cameras, I started using my Polaroid camera more, my phone always has more than 2,000 photos on it and my computer is so full that I can’t find anything.
I know that a lot of people don’t like photography and I know that a lot of people don’t like photographers. I don’t know why maybe because we’re always around and can just stand somewhere for hours taking pictures at different angles. But I also know that there are a lot of people who love it. And something I find useful is looking at other peoples photos and being encouraged.
So here are my favourite photos that I’ve taken recently. I’ll keep updating this page when I take better photos.
